Under Vehicle Skid Plates - 2012 On Jeep Wrangler JK

As the first solid axle model vehicle ARB Engineers tackled for skid plates, the Jeep Wrangler JK presented many new issues that needed to be overcome. Among those, the skid plates panel had to mount in such a way that it allowed full movement of the front axle and all of its locating components during suspension cycling. Next it had to allow for the many different suspension systems and aftermarket control arms available on the market for this popular vehicle.



Being the longest skid plate panel manufactured so far, this panel is designed to virtually cradle the entire engine oil pan on all sides, providing the maximum amount of protection while still allowing access to the engine oil drain plug.



Toward the rear of the panel the surface area was kept as narrow as possible so as to allow for the fitment of aftermarket long arm kits.



To support the panel, a new cross-member has been developed that bolts between the two engine mounts. Special attention had to be paid to the design to allow the front suspension control arms to travel up fully (under suspension compression) in an area that was very compact and didn't allow a lot of freedom in design.



In addition to engine oil pan and transmission protection, the Jeep also has a vulnerable charcoal canister (part of the vehicle emissions system) that hangs low towards the rear of the vehicle for which a separate skid plate panel has been developed.

ARB Ford F250/350 Super Duty Modular Winch Bumper

After much research, design and testing, ARB's engineering and product development team has developed the next generation in full size truck bumpers.



Customers will enjoy the flexibility of a modular design that allows them to choose among three bumper options to meet their individual needs, each of which is competitively priced.



This system also allows vehicle owners to modify or upgrade the configuration if their protection needs change.



The three configurations are:

Lower,full width bumper
Lower, full width bumper and center upright section
Lower, full width bumper, center upright section and wing hoops


While the bolt-on modular upright and wing system is a new direction for ARB, the engineering and development team conducted Finite Elemental Analysis (FEA) testing alongside extensive real world assessments to confirm that the system exceeds the demands that full-size truck owners put on their vehicles.

Jeep Wrangler JK Rear Bumper & Tire Carrier Update

Offering one of the strongest carrier-to- vehicle mounting assemblies available on the market, the redesigned wheel carrier assembly is bolted to the rear bar via a heavy duty, 5.11" long carrier hub featuring self-lubricating sintered bronze bushes.



The mounting structure bolts directly onto the chassis bracket assembly for maximum strength and durability.

The adjustable wheel carrier mount allows for fitment of up to 40" tires, and the Hi-Lift jack mount can be horizontally re-positioned to neatly sit next to the spare.



The wheel mount plate is slide adjustable to cater for a range of wheel offsets. As with the previous design, the wheel carrier swings away with the rear door, however it now employs a ball joint mounting system instead of heim joint.



Once the door is closed, the wheel carrier is pressed against a polyurethane bush which reduces unwanted vibrations while still allowing the carrier to move freely with chassis rail flex during extreme off roading.
